ABOUT
LaShona began drawing at a young age. Her first drawing was a war scene and she has not stopped drawing since. As she matured and entered high school, her artistic skills developed and evolved into something that provided a hint to her future. In 2003, she attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. She graduated with her BA in Studio Art in 2007. LaShona is a wife and mother of 4 children, and though her schedule is tight, she still finds time to complete artworks for clients. LaShona has been featured in RAW Tulsa in Oklahoma, April 2012. And in Roxbury Open Studios in Massachusetts, October 7, 2013.

INSPIRATIONS
I pull inspiration from everyday life, nature, cracks in the road, chipped paint, rusty metal or anything that looks worn out. My kids also inspire me because they always want me to draw or paint their favorite cartoon characters. Although art is my escape, sometimes I don’t have the energy to work on anything, BUT my husband and even my children pull the Artist out of me and I get right to work and I love every minute of it!

God, family, friends, my passion- mime dance, hip-hop dance, abstract art, Norman Rockwell, Salvador Dali, photography, oil paint, new paint brushes :-), a variety of ceramicists, good music, inspirational books & leaders, clay…clay…& MORE CLAY!!
